Summer Programs
Extended School Year (current students)
The SCESC's Extended School Year (ESY) program provides students with educational and emotional support during the summer months. Our experienced staff members instruct and counsel students to provide a supportive extension of their regular school year. Each staff member is trained to deliver flexible and individual instruction to a diverse student population. All school staff are experienced in working with a special education population including behavioral disorders. ESY offers curriculum-based instruction and educational and recreational field trips. Students, age 14 and above, may be eligible to participate in our School-to-Work Program and earn wages while learning valuable life and career skills required for the workplace.
ESY runs from the beginning of July through mid-August, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

High School Credit Recovery Summer School Program (open to public)
We are offering remedial summer school for students who have previously taken but did not receive credit for a course. The district in which the student is permanently enrolled awards course credits. All course results will be provided to the student’s home district. It is the responsibility of each student to verify acceptance of credits earned by his or her respective district. In order to register for a course, the student's district must approve enrollment..
