Summer Programs

Extended School Year (current students)

The SCESC’s ESY program provides educational and emotional support during the summer months. Experienced staff members instruct and counsel students to provide a supportive extension of the regular school year.
We offer curriculum-based instruction, educational and recreational field trips, as well as a practical, hands-on work experience. Students, age 14 and above, may be eligible to participate in our School-to-Work Program and will be eligible to earn wages while learning valuable life and career skills required for the workplace.
Each staff member is trained to deliver flexible and individual instruction to a diverse student population. All staff and administrators are experienced in working with a special education population including behavioral disorders.

High School Credit Recovery Summer School Program (open to public)
We are offering remedial summer school for students who have previously taken but did not receive credit for a course. The district in which the student is permanently enrolled awards course credits. All course results will be provided to the student’s home district. It is the responsibility of each student to verify acceptance of credits earned by his or her respective district. The students district Principal’s signature is required in order to register for course(s).
